The Mercedes came out in front of the Ferraris. In order, we have Valtteri Bottas, then Lewis Hamilton, followed distantly by Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc.

The Renaults barely saved their places in Q3. Pierre Gasly, 11th, is eliminated, and will be penalized five places before the race. Sergio Pérez (12th), Antonio Giovinazzi (13th) and Lance Stroll (15th) are also eliminated. Note the correction inflicted on Kevin Magnussen by his teammate Romain Grosjean: the Frenchman is ahead of the Dane by more than four tenths!
