Daniel Ricciardo took pole position at the wheel of his Red Bull RB14 for the Mexican Grand Prix. The Australian driver beat his teammate Max Verstappen on his last attempt, beaten by 26 thousandths in 1'14″759.
Behind the Red Bull double, Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) and Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) will start from the second row. Followed by Valtteri Bottas (Mercedes) and Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari). The two Renaults of Nico Hülkenberg and Carlos Sainz and the Saubers of Charles Leclerc and Marcus Ericsson complete the top 10.
Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) improves Verstappen's time by 26 thousandths, who cannot beat his teammate on his last attempt. Hamilton improves his time but fails in third position, and will start alongside Sebastian Vettel.
The Ferraris do not improve their time, just like Valtteri Bottas.
Vettel and Räikkönen do not improve in their first sector.
It is Hamilton who should be the last on the track. The Briton could benefit from the smoothest track in the final seconds.
Ferrari, Bottas, Renault and Sauber return to the track. The Red Bulls are still waiting, just like Hamilton.
Behind the first six single-seaters, Charles Leclerc (Sauber) climbed to 7th place ahead of the two Renaults of Hülkenberg and Sainz and the second Sauber of Marcus Ericsson.
Max Verstappen could become F1's youngest pole-sitter if the Red Bull Dutchman maintains his current position.
Verstappen goes even quicker!

Ricciardo takes the third provisional time, 60 thousandths behind Vettel, but goes down a notch as Max Verstappen sets a new circuit record in 1'14″785!
Räikkönen opens the time table in 1'15″330. Vettel immediately improved in 1'14″970, when Hamilton and Bottas failed at 52 and 190 thousandths.
The Mercedes and the Ferraris, as well as the two Renaults, came into action.
Q3 is launched! 12 minutes to determine the poleman for this 2018 Mexican Grand Prix.
As outlined by Esteban Ocon yesterday after free practice, the choice of tires for the start could be an interesting factor for Racing Point Force India.
P11 and P13 for us on the grid, but also a free choice of tires for tomorrow's race! Plenty to fight for on Sunday! #MexicoGP pic.twitter.com/WCKVDmz8hO
