2017 Singapore Grand Prix

Vettel: “It looks like Red Bull copied parts from our car. We deserve this pole but the Red Bulls will be fast tomorrow. I hope to have the same car tomorrow. »

Sebastian Vettel (Ferrari) won his fourth pole at the Singapore GP, the 49th of his career, by setting the new lap record with a time of 1'39''491. The four-time world champion was more than three tenths ahead of the Red Bulls of Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo.
Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) is only fifth ahead of his teammate Valtteri Bottas. The Briton will start behind Kimi Räikkönen (Ferrari).
Hamilton improves the lap record with a time of 1'39"491 and takes pole, his 4th at the Singapore GP. The Ferrari driver is ahead of the Red Bulls of Verstappen and Ricciardo. Räikkönen completes the second row ahead of the Mercedes of Hamilton and Bottas. This is the 49th pole for the four-time world champion.
The checkered flag is presented. Hülkenberg takes provisional 7th place ahead of Alonso and Vandoorne.
The drivers return to the track for their second attempt.
Vettel sets the new lap record with a time of 1'39"669 which relegates Verstappen's Red Bull to more than a tenth. Ricciardo follows by almost 2 tenths. Räikkönen is 4 tenths behind while Hamilton is only 5th, more than half a second behind. Bottas is more than a second behind. The McLarens of Alonso and Vandoorne and the Renault of Hülkenberg complete the provisional top ten with the Toro Rosso of Sainz Jr.
Räikkönen set the first benchmark in 1'40"0, but the Finn suffered from significant understeer. Hamilton fails by a tenth.

Massa on Canal+: “I had a big oversteer and I couldn't avoid the wall. I almost lost the car again on my second attempt and that caused me to lose several tenths. »
The Red Bulls were once again the fastest. Max Verstappen set the new lap record with a time of 1'40''332, half a tenth ahead of his teammate Daniel Ricciardo. The Ferraris are the closest with Kimi Räikkönen 3rd ahead of his teammate Sebastian Vettel. Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) is only fifth while his teammate Valtteri Bottas is eighth behind Stoffel Vandoorne (McLaren) and Nico Hülkenberg (Renault).
The French were eliminated in Q2 of the Singapore GP. Esteban Ocon (Force India) finished 14th, two places behind his teammate Sergio Pérez, while Romain Grosjean (Haas) had to settle for 15th place. Jolyon Palmer (Renault) was the first eliminated, just over two tenths behind Carlos Sainz Jr (Toro Rosso). Daniil Kvyat (Toro Rosso) is 13th.
