Nil Solans secured the JWRC title in the second stage which included bonus points. The recent WRC 3 champion benefited from the retirement of his rival Nicolas Ciamin who was leading the category before going off the road which damaged his suspension this afternoon. The Spaniard occupies the lead with a lead of 41 seconds over Terry Folb.

Evans also received a 10s penalty for being one minute late at the start of the stage.
The 20s penalty imposed on Ostberg is due to the Norwegian being 2 minutes late at the start of a special stage.

Camilli, first R5 driver, now completes the top ten by ahead of Teemu Suninen, the leader of WRC 2 ahead of Kopecky. Benito Guerra Jr (Skoda) now completes the category podium.
Sébastien Ogier (M-Sport) concluded the second stage of the Rally de Catalunya by taking the provisional scratch in the 2,24km Salou super special. With a time of 2'33''8, the Championship leader took nine tenths from Kris Meeke (Citroën) and 1''4 from Ott Tänak (M-Sport).
The rankings for the special remain provisional, Jan Kopecky having set the second time, six tenths off the benchmark while riding a Skoda Fabia R5.
Kris Meeke still has a 13-second lead over Sébastien Ogier who took second place, 1”5 ahead of Ott Tänak.
Kopecky distinguished himself by setting the 2nd time, only 6 tenths behind Ogier's scratch. The Czech is however on a Skoda Fabia R5.
Ogier finished with a scratch with a time of 2'33″8 which allowed him to gain 1″4 from his teammate Tänak and take 2nd place for a 1″5 lead. “We will continue to attack because the gaps remain very tight. I'm happy to finish the super special because these are always the difficult courses. »
Meeke improves the mark in 2'34″7 where he further increases his lead by half a second over Tänak who finds himself 14″5 from the head of the race. “It will be a difficult day tomorrow but this stage was sensational. »
Tänak improves the benchmark with a time of 2'35″2, or 6 tenths better than Neuville. The M-Sport driver is battling with his teammate Ogier for 2nd place.
Ostberg drops 6″98 to Neuville with the 4th provisional time. The private driver finds himself 6th behind Lappi after receiving a 20s penalty.

Neuville took the provisional scratch in 2'35″8, 3″1 better than Lappi. The Hyundai driver is 5th.
Hänninen sets the 2nd provisional time, 4 tenths behind his teammate Lappi. The Toyota driver is in 4th position.
Lefebvre is closest to Lappi with 3″9 behind. The Citroën driver is ranked 8th.
Lappi improved the provisional reference to 2'38″9. The Toyota driver is fighting against Ostberg for 6th place.
Al Qassimi set a first time in 2'44"2. Evans was slower, failing 7s behind the Citroën driver.
The crews embark on the Salou super special, only 2,24km long. The reduced gaps could nevertheless modify the provisional podium.
