Barry Baltus will take part in the Suzuka 8H. The Belgian Moto2 rider will line up on the starting grid of the famous raceEndurance, which is presented as the third round of the 2024 FIM EWC championship, after the 24H Motos at Le Mans, and the 8H of Spa (Belgium).

He will join a certain Johann Zarco, French pilot of MotoGP who recently announced his participation in the event with the Honda factory team. For his part, Barry Baltus will be equipped with a Suzuki from the AutoRace Ube Racing team. The first tests on the sidelines of the event will also take place this week.

“We are proud to announce that Moto2 rider, Barry Baltus, will ride with our colors in Japan as part of the Suzuka 8H, announced the team on his social networks this Monday. He will already pilot our machine on June 19 and 20.

The 20-year-old who finished on the Moto2 podium in Qatar this season will be riding for the first time at Suzuka, but we can't wait to start working with him. After the famous world champion of the 1970s, Barry Scheen, Barry will be riding a Suzuki again. We can't wait to see this! »

As a reminder, the Suzuka 8H will not conflict with the already busy schedule of the second part of the Moto2 season – identical to that of MotoGP – since the meeting will take place from July 19 to 21, right in the middle of the Grand Prix summer break.

After this stage, he will remain in the FIM EWC paddock to complete the last stage of his 2024 campaign on French soil, with the Bol d'Or which will take place in September.
