Di Giannantonio will ride the official VR46 Ducati in 2025

Fabio Di Giannantonio extends with VR46 for the next two seasons, determined to aim for the top step of the podium with a Desmosedici GP25.

The future of Fabio Di Giannantonio in MotoGP is now fixed. Once expected to join Pramac Racing, and thus become one of the figures of Yamaha's new project, the Italian will ultimately keep his handlebars at VR46, strengthening his links with Ducati.

Arriving in the team at the start of the 2024 campaign, after his ouster from Gresini Racing upon the signing of Marc Marquez, the No. 49 has just won a contract which will extend his adventure for two additional years in the team. Valentino Rossi.

As part of an increasingly important collaboration between the Italian firm and the Bologna factory, details of which were revealed last weekend, Di Giannantonio will also have Ducati's latest machine, the Desmosedici GP25.

« 9 months ago, I was without a motorcycle to pursue my dream. Today I sign a contract with two of the biggest entities in MotoGP, he rejoices. It's hard to believe. I am very happy to be able to continue this fantastic journey. I am looking forward to doing it alongside the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team and Ducati Corse.

VR46 towards an agreement with Morbidelli

The machine and the support he will have should indeed allow him to return to the highest level, since with Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez, they will be the only three to have what should be the best bike in the field. Enough to give great hopes to the man who has not found the path to victory since the 2023 Qatar Grand Prix. A success which was also his first in the premier category.

The Italian should find himself alongside Franco Morbidelli, whose departure rumors from Pramac are starting to intensify. The No. 21 should be equipped with the Desmosedici GP24 from Ducati, which it already has at present.
