- Starting from fourth on the grid, Jorge Martin took advantage of the grip advantage afforded him by this side of the track to make an excellent start, which allowed him to take the lead of the race from the first corner. Pecco Bagnaia was unable to resist his rival's attack, but quickly placed himself in the Spaniard's slipstream to try to complicate his task.
- Franco Morbidelli was then third, ahead of Brad Binder and Enea Bastianini, who also made surprising starts. Marco Bezzecchi made a mistake, and finished the first lap in ninth position. Fabio Di Giannantonio was even less successful than his garage neighbour, and fell at the start of the race. Bezzecchi would imitate him a few moments later.
- Morbidelli and Acosta quickly got rid of Binder, to return to the leading trio. Behind, Marc Marquez does not progress in the peloton, and stumbles behind Jack Miller.
- Martin and Bagnaia are evolving in another dimension. As they chain together the timed laps, the Italian does not let go of the sole of the Spaniard, putting a little more pressure on him as the laps go by. A high-intensity battle that will see them receive a warning for not respecting the track limits, increasing a little more the stress that must have been theirs.
- Behind them, the gap is closing between their teammates who are fighting for a place on the podium. Bastianini will try to take the lead on the last lap, before going wide, giving third place to the number 21.
- Jorge Martin, for his part, managed to open up a comfortable enough lead to contain Bagnaia behind him. At the finish, the championship leader did not fail to express his joy at having dominated outrageously on enemy soil.
- Once rid of the factory KTMs, Marc Marquez closed in on Pedro Acosta. He would take fifth place from the young rookie in the very last moments of the Sprint race.
