The 2026 United States Grand Prix will be remembered as a record-breaking one for Marco Bezzecchi and Aprilia. By winning in Texas, the Italian secured his ninth victory in the premier class and, for the first time in his career, achieved five consecutive wins, joining Valentino Rossi and Marc Márquez in the pantheon of the modern era.
Even more impressively, Bezzecchi is the first rider since 1992 to win five consecutive Grands Prix, leading every lap from start to finish. With 121 consecutive laps in the lead, he shatters Jorge Lorenzo's historic record of 103 laps. By winning the first three races of the season, he achieves a feat unseen since Marc Márquez's excellent start to the 2014 season, when he won the first ten races.
Behind the leader, Jorge Martín confirms his return to the top. After a 2025 season hampered by injuries and 14 missed races, the Spaniard has secured a second consecutive podium finish for a superb start to the 2026 season. The two riders thus deliver the Noale factory team its third one-two finish in the premier class, following Catalonia (2023) and Brazil (2026).
Aprilia's rise to power
This is also the first time the factory team has achieved two consecutive one-two finishes. This eleventh victory in the premier class, the second in Austin after Maverick Viñales' win in 2024, allows Aprilia to reach 305 victories in the world championship, across all categories.
If 2025 was already the best season in the brand's history, 2026 seems to be off to an even better start. In the overall standings, the dominance is indeed undeniable. Bezzecchi is leading the pack ahead of his teammate Martín.
As the paddock prepares for the fourth round at Jerez, Noale dominates all the standings: Riders (81 points for Bezzecchi and 77 for Martín), Teams (158), and Manufacturers (101). The question now is whether Aprilia can keep its pursuers at bay until the end.
