The announcement of Davide Brivio's departure is actually the first part of a story that, according to the most persistent rumors, should ultimately lead him to the official Honda team as early as next year. Davide Brivio's work at Trackhouse Racing was praised by the team on its social media. The American team highlighted the good results achieved under Davide Brivio's management, and in particular the first victory for the satellite Aprilia team in MotoGP, last year on the Phillip Island circuit, with Raúl Fernández at the handlebars.

The team founded by the former driver of NASCAR Justin Marks, who is also present this weekend in Barcelona for the Catalan Grand Prix, is expected to undergo a change in organizational chart and in the way his MotoGP team is organized following the departure of Davide Brivio.
As team manager at Yamaha and then Suzuki, Davide Brivio won 6 riders' titles, 4 constructors' titles, and 6 teams' titles. His most recent championship victory to date was with Suzuki in 2020, when Joan Mir became world champion. Brivio then took over the management of the Formula 1Among Alpine, being part of the triumvirate that succeeded Cyril Abiteboul at the helm of the French team, before being quickly dismissed and taking charge of the competition projects for the Dieppe-based brand. 2024 thus marked his return to the MotoGP paddocks, and the Italian is now expected to move to Honda, where he could help the brand with the golden wing rediscover the heights it has only occasionally approached since Marc Márquez's last title in 2019.
