Unlike the previous day's Sprint race, where he gave it his all from the first lap, Moreira adopted a more cautious approach in the main race. I was being a bit more careful with the tires towards the end " he explains. A winning strategy, which allowed him to stay in the group and finish in style with an overtake on Brad Binder in the very last lap.

Beyond the race itself, the entire weekend satisfied the driver. His direct qualification for Q2 on Friday provided him with a comfortable foundation for the rest of the weekend. It made my race preparation easier. " he acknowledges. Moreira emphasizes the importance of capitalizing on this momentum: We need to maintain this pace and stay calm. I was able to enjoy this race and learn something too. »

This weekend also marks a new stage in the Brazilian's season. With his teammate Johann Zarco injured and out for several months, the young man must step into the role of leader at LCR Honda. Far from being worried, he sees it as an opportunity. I'm going to focus more on our own work, on our side of the garage. That should be beneficial for us too. We need to keep moving forward. »

Already focused on the next round at Balaton Park Circuit on Sunday, June 7th in Hungary, Moreira displays serenity. We're starting from scratch, we're approaching the weekend calmly. "And his priority is clear: to secure a place in Q2 again." That's really the key to having a good race. »
