A photo depicting dozens of racing motorcycles, most of which competed in MotoGP or at least in the premier motorcycle speed category, posted on the X account of the FBI's Los Angeles office, that's something to catch the eye! In the last days of 2025, the Federal Bureau of Investigation presented the results of a large-scale search in Mexico, in a vast drug trafficking case.

Ryan Wedding, a former member of the Canadian snowboard team (24th in the parallel giant slalom at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics), has since been on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted Fugitives list. Wedding is accused of running a drug trafficking network that spanned several countries. The FBI is offering a reward of $15 million (€12,7 million) for information leading to his capture.

Still wanted by US authorities, Wedding is believed to be on the run in Mexico, and it was in this country that an impressive collection of racing motorcycles, worth an estimated $40 million (€34 million), was found.

Among them, many Ducatis have been ridden by Jorge Lorenzo, Loris Capirossi, Andrea Dovizioso, and others. Valentino RossiNumerous other motorcycles were also recovered, the majority belonging to the 500cc era. Mexican authorities also seized cars, works of art, and two objects resembling Olympic medals.

It remains to be seen what the authorities intend to do with the numerous motorcycles found at the end of the year.
