Ducati could claim the Constructors' title at Misano

Ducati can pocket the Constructors' title at Misano - Ducati Corse

Ducati has so far dominated the majority of rounds of the 2024 season MotoGP, continuing to repeatedly set records of domination.

A flawless consistency, which could allow the Italian brand to win the Constructors' title six rounds from the end of the season.

The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, which will be held next week on the Misano circuit, will in fact be Borgo Panigale's first opportunity to secure a first trophy this year.

Ducati currently has a 229-point lead over KTM and 239 over Aprilia. However, there will still be 222 (6 times 37 points available) to take after the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. For Ducati not to win this crown, KTM or Aprilia would have to be in front.

However, the last main race victory by a rider who is not part of the Bologna team dates back to the Grand Prix of the Americas, the third round of this 2024 season. It is therefore more than likely that the transalpine manufacturer will achieve this feat at home, and even before starting the long Asian tour of MotoGP.

This would be the fifth consecutive success for Ducati, which has not lost a title since 2020. The sixth in its history, including the trophy won in 2007.

Last year, Ducati was also crowned early in the season. This was achieved at the end of the Sprint of the Indonesian Grand Prix, after accumulating a total of 502 points, 229 more than KTM at that time.

MotoGP 2024 Standings – Constructors’ Championship after the San Marino GP:
1. Ducati – 463 points
2. KTM – 234 points (-229)
3. Aprilia – 224 points (-239)
4. Yamaha – 72 points (-391)
5. Honda – 37 points (-426)
