The twelfth Grand Prix of the season barely over, Gigi Dall'Igna was full of praise for Marc Márquez, who in just a few months has become the pillar of Ducati's domination in MotoGPWhile Márquez pocketed his eighth victory of the season in Brno (Czech Republic), the 70th in Ducati's history, the Italian engineer of Ducati Corse sets the bar high.

“Eighth victory of the season out of 12 races, 5th Sprint-GP double in a row, recalls the flagship engineer of the Italian brand. Marc is the first Ducati rider to reach these heights. He won all but one of Saturday's sprint races. This is a supremacy that eclipses mere victories. It speaks volumes about the excellent work we do in the symbiosis of the drivers. Which makes us rightly proud."

Beyond pure performance, Dall'Igna emphasizes how Márquez has managed to adapt at the start of the season. After a significant crash in Austin and then a second in Jerez, the Spaniard questioned himself. At the end of the first half of the season, he adopted a more measured pace at the start of races, which didn't stop him from continuing to crush the competition.

“A well-deserved tribute to what is yet further proof of Marc’s incredible class, continues the Italian. Overwhelming and, above all, intelligent. He always knows how to handle different racing situations and conditions. Whether it's taking the lead from the first to the last lap in absolute command. Or, as in Germany, with a more cautious start, then reaching a maximum pace halfway through the GP. While keeping everyone at a safe distance without taking risks."

Marc Márquez, the humble Ducati champion

A supremacy is evident in all circumstances, despite the increasingly uncertain weather conditions at the start of the season: “He optimizes every circumstance. Whether in dry or wet conditions, at crucial moments bringing out the best in the bike and in himself. He combines know-how and instinct. With the experience of a champion with an inexhaustible desire to win.

The 2025 record of the No. 93 speaks for itself: Marc Márquez leads with 381 points, 120 more than his brother Alex, and 168 ahead of his teammate, Pecco Bagnaia. Dall'Igna concludes his tribute by highlighting his driver's exemplary mentality: “Yes, a champion who, precisely because he is one, shows humility. He is aware that he still has to grow and improve.
