Fermin Aldeguer was powerless against Marco Bezzecchi's dominance in qualifying for the Indonesian Grand Prix in MotoGPThe Gresini rider, the best Ducati on the grid since the start of the weekend, nevertheless saved a fine second place for Borgo Panigale. The only Ducati on the front row, he also saved the brand's streak of 98 consecutive first rows, which began at the 2020 Valencia Grand Prix. This performance is primarily the result of in-depth work with his team to improve his weekend debut.

Fermin Aldeguer (Gresini Ducati), 2nd in qualifying for the MotoGP Indonesian Grand Prix, in Parc Fermé: “Nothing special, the bike is the same, I am the same. However, it’s clear that we have set different goals for these last races. Trying to improve on Fridays, trying to improve qualifying. And here we have made a big step forward. Nothing to report. Super happy because we are working on ourselves, without looking at the other riders. We are super focused and we are enjoying it. Also, with all the problems during qualifying, I think I did 18 laps on my front tire. It was my spare tire. But it’s okay, I think starting in second position is a good opportunity considering our potential. We will have to try to take advantage of it.”

He will attempt to defend this ranking for the first time in the Sprint, this Saturday at 09:00 a.m. Then in the main race, which is also scheduled to start at 09:00 a.m. this Sunday.
