The only regular starter absent from the opening round of the season MotoGPIn Thailand, Fermín Aldeguer will attempt to return to competition for the second round of the year, which will take place the weekend of March 22nd in Brazil. A few weeks after fracturing his left femur, the Spaniard hopes to be able to ride a MotoGP bike for the first time this year.
As a reminder, this injury occurred at the Aspar circuit, near Valencia, when Aldeguer was training with other Ducati riders before the first official tests of the year last January. This mishap kept him off the track during the pre-season. He has therefore not yet completed a single lap on the Ducati Desmosedici GP25.

Before taking to the track for the first practice sessions of the weekend, the #54 driver will have to undergo a medical examination and receive medical clearance. If he is denied, his next opportunity to return will be a week later in Austin, at the Grand Prix of the Americas. He has recently been increasing his track training and therefore seems ready to make his comeback.
This injury, however, jeopardizes his start to the season. Like Jorge Martín last year, the Gresini rider will begin his season without having logged any mileage on his new bike. Equipped with last year's machine, he will nevertheless benefit from the data collected by the other Ducati riders throughout the last campaign to accelerate his adaptation to the GP25.
Winner of the last Indonesian Grand Prix, Fermín Aldeguer had a rather successful first season in MotoGP, securing three podium finishes: at Le Mans, in Austria, and at Mandalika, the day of his victory. Signed by Ducati for the winter of 2024, the young prodigy hoped to capitalize on these results to do even better in 2026, and perhaps subsequently benefit from factory Ducati equipment – entrusted to his teammate Alex Márquez this year – or, in the longer term, a factory ride.
