Marc Márquez's victory at the Hungarian Grand Prix marked his seventh consecutive Grand Prix victory, significantly increasing his advantage in the world championship standings. As he explained in Parc Fermé, the No. 93 Ducati rider had to be patient after some tricky early corners, where he even came into contact with Marco Bezzecchi's Aprilia.
Marc Márquez (Ducati), winner of the Hungarian Grand Prix: “At the first corner, when I saw Marco was on the inside, I released the brakes and went wide because I didn't want to get into trouble. In the second corner, I expected him to go faster but I actually hit him, luckily I was able to avoid the crash! The race changed a bit from then on, I had to be patient in the first laps. When the riders on the soft tires started to lose pace, I was able to take advantage of my medium tire on the rear and the great pace I was able to maintain with it. Winning on a new circuit is something that really makes me happy.”
