Hungarian GP: Marc Márquez crushes his rivals in the Sprint

15:27 The results of this sprint race, the Grand Prix will take place on Sunday at 14pm:

13/13 – 🏁 Marc Márquez wins his 18th MotoGP Sprint race, equaling Jorge Martín's record! Pedro Acosta and Marco Bezzecchi complete the podium.

13/13 – Marc Márquez starts the final lap with a two-second lead over Pedro Acosta. Behind them, Fabio Di Giannantonio is battling with Francesco Bagnaia for ninth place, but is unable to overtake him.

12/13 – The Gresini Ducati rider number 54 makes the mistake! While trying to get closer to the Trackhouse rider in front of him, he goes straight on and turns too wide, losing the opportunity to overtake Raúl Fernández before the end of the Sprint.

11/13 – Fermín Aldeguer is glued to Raúl Fernández’s exhaust pipe, without managing to overtake him, he is losing time on the straights.

10/13 –Diogo Moreira sets his best lap in the race, he seems well on his way to achieving his best result in Sprint, after a ninth place in the same event at the French Grand Prix.

8 / 13 - The gaps remain constant at the front, with the exception of Raúl Fernández who is slowly closing the gap on Marco Bezzecchi.

7 / 13 - Let's take a look at the standings at the halfway point:

6 / 13 - Diogo Moreira continues to put pressure on Jorge Martín for sixth position, there are less than two tenths between the two drivers.

5 / 13 - There's already more than a two-second gap between Marc Márquez and Pedro Acosta at the front. Behind them, Jorge Martín, in sixth position, isn't penalized for cutting the chicane, the stewards judging that he lost enough time.

4 / 13 -  Fermín Aldeguer loses the front end while trying to right his motorcycle in the chicane and becomes unstable but does not fall.

2 / 13 - Jorge Martín has to cut the chicane at turn 12 while trying to overtake Diogo Moreira and loses a position to the Brazilian who continues his comeback.

2 / 13 - On the first pass of the finish line, the two leaders, Marc Márquez and Pedro Acosta, maintained their positions. Behind them, Diogo Moreira made a strong comeback and moved up to seventh place.

1 / 13 - 🢢 The sprint race has begun! The first two get off to a great start, but Marc Márquez holds onto first place. All the riders stay on their bikes, and Marco Bezzecchi moves up three positions right from the start to take third.

15h - The training tour has begun!

14:58 All riders are equipped with a medium front tire and a soft rear tire. As for the weather, the air temperature is 27°C, while the track temperature rises to 50°C.

14:56  The checkered flag for this Sprint will be waved by Gábor Talmácsi. To this day, he remains the only Hungarian world champion thanks to his 125cc title in 2007.

14:47  No Aprilia on the front row, as was the case in Catalonia. Hopefully, this isn't the start of difficulties for the championship-leading bike, especially coming off a near-perfect weekend in Italy with top-three qualifying positions and two one-two finishes in both races, with Raúl Fernández taking the Sprint victory.
