Seven-time Formula 1 world champion, Lewis Hamilton is delighted with the promotion of Marc Marquez within the official structure of Ducati.

Hamilton delighted with Marquez signing - MotoGP

The only point that brought together until then Lewis Hamilton of Marc Marquez was the simultaneous success in their respective motorsport categories, before a certain decline. The Briton won seven titles in Formula 1 between 2008 and 2020, the Spaniard eight in the Motorcycle World Championship between 2010 and 2019.

In search of success for several years now, the careers of the two men will take an important turn in 2025. Having both formalized their transfer to an Italian team, each of Marquez and Hamilton will try to find the path to victory in Red.

Marquez's recent announcement delighted the Formula 1 driver, who does not fail to recall the link that will be established between the two disciplines next year following the finalization of the deal to buy the commercial rights of MotoGP at Dorna by Liberty Media.

“This is great news. rejoices Sir Lewis on the microphone of the Spanish TV channel DAZN. Mark is incredible. I love MotoGP and I like thinking about the future of the sport. They will probably learn a lot from what happened in F1 with Liberty Media, their sport will continue to grow.

MotoGP's racing is incredible, and seeing Marc Marquez back at the highest level will be awesome." add driver Mercedes.

Arriving in the Italian fold at the start of the season, via its satellite structure, Gresini Racing, the Spanish champion has certainly given Hamilton a taste of what awaits him next year at Ferrari.

 “The Ducati has always been a very cool bike and from the point of view of an athlete or a rider it is always good to have a new environment, a new challenge, a new box, new teammates, continues Hamilton. There's always that added pressure, and that certain uncertainty of knowing if you're going to fit in well in this environment. But it's exciting when you're welcomed. I can't wait to see him in Red on his Desmosedici. »

Before starting their new adventures, however, they still have fifteen and thirteen Grands Prix respectively to experience with their current teams.
