Fermin Aldeguer is now a Grand Prix winner. In Indonesia, the Gresini rookie, aged just 20 years and 183 days, became the second-youngest rider to win a race in MotoGPAfter a solid start, he took advantage of the race's events to get into the slipstream of Pedro Acosta, over whom he got the better of after a few laps. He then set his pace on his rivals, and took advantage of the fight for second place to create a colossal lead. After 27 laps of the race, he crossed the checkered flag first with an 8-second margin over his closest pursuer.

Behind, the battle was much more indecisive. Luca Marini and Pedro Acosta enlivened the entire first part of the race with a sumptuous mano a mano. A duel from which Pedro Acosta emerged victorious, 10 laps from the finish, when his opponent went wide, dropping to eighth place in a very compact pack. Álex Rins took advantage of this to take provisional 3rd place, with Alex Marquez and Raul Fernandez in his wake.

Finally, the Spaniard cracked in turn, and Alex Márquez moved onto the podium. He reached the finish in 3rd, forced to give up in the face of a strong resistance from Pedro Acosta. Brad Binder finished 4th, his best result of the season. Behind him, Luca Marini ultimately finished 5th. The results were less glorious for the other Hondas. Joan Mir fell early in the race, while Somkiat Chantra was completely dropped behind his teammate, Johann Zarco, who nevertheless only occupied 12th place.

Winner in the Sprint the day before, despite a chaotic start, Marco Bezzecchi once again missed his start in the main race. Worse, after a few bends, while trying to get back into the pack, he clipped Marc Marquez's bike, and the two riders crashed. While the Italian was quickly back on his feet, the Spaniard quickly revealed that he had injured his right arm, the same one that had kept him off the track for around thirty events at the beginning of the decade. It was learned at the end of the race that he had suffered a small fracture to his right shoulder. He will return to Madrid in the evening for further examination.

Behind Raul Fernandez, 6th, fabio quartararo finished the Indonesian Grand Prix as the best Yamaha, with his teammate, Álex Rins, having dropped to 10th place late in the race.
