588 days. Repeated surgeries. And a triumphant return to the top step of the podium. Jorge Martín won the French Grand Prix at Le Mans after an exemplary race, and his first words at the finish line said it all: "It's incredible. I'm thinking of my family, my team, my girlfriend, my dog, everyone who stayed with me during this difficult time. I have no words, thank you everyone."
On the track, the demonstration was undeniable. Starting seventh, the Spaniard overtook his rivals one by one, setting a pace that no one could match. He closed in on his teammate Marco Bezzecchi in the final laps before passing him at the Dunlop chicane – the same one where he had made the difference in the Sprint the previous day – to cruise to victory.
"Long live France""Thanks to this comeback, he's back in the title race more than ever against his teammate, who has had significantly more track time on the Italian bike since they both joined Aprilia in 2025," said Jorge Martín to Canal+ after the race. There's now only one point separating the two riders at the top of the championship, but the season is still long, with seventeen rounds remaining, the next being the Catalan Grand Prix next weekend.

"...my girlfriend, my dog..." the girlfriend must be happy, she comes just before the dog!
