The FIM 2025 awards ceremony took place this Saturday, December 6, in Lausanne, Switzerland. The world's motorcycle racing stars gathered to celebrate the past year of competition. Before a thousand guests, the winners of sixty-four FIM world championships were honored. Riders from circuit racing, motocross, trials, enduro, and cross-country rally events paraded by.
The end of the evening was reserved for the winners of the major categories. FIM President Jorge Viegas had the honor of presenting awards to Toprak Razgatlıoğlu – the 2025 Superbike World Champion and Pramac Yamaha rider in 2026 – and Marc Márquez – the 2025 MotoGP World Champion. MotoGPAll this took place in front of representatives from the 121 national federations. Another MotoGP rider, Diogo Moreira, Johann Zarco's future teammate in Moto2, was honored for his achievements in Moto2, a championship he won in 2025.
« Being able to celebrate this occasion in the FIM's home country for the very first time and having all the FIM 2025 world champions present made this edition of the FIM Awards one of the best we have enjoyed in the event's fifteen-year history. Jorge Viegas confides on the federation's website.
Medals were also awarded to the reigning champions in EnduranceThe YART Yamaha team of Karel Hanika, Marvin Fritz, and Jason O'Halloran took to the stage accompanied by their team manager, Manfred Kainz. The evening concluded with a surprise award for Marc Márquez, who received the FIM Sporting Trophy.
“Every champion who stepped onto the stage won and was totally worthy of the gold medal they received from our legends and special guests who were there to present these awards,” continues Jorge Viegas. The evening ended perfectly with Marc Marquez receiving the new FIM sporting trophy. He produced one of the greatest sporting comebacks of all time this season.
