Still leading the world championship MotoGPMarco Bezzecchi took advantage of his teammate Jorge Martín's crash to extend his lead to two points over the 2024 world champion. Pedro Acosta and Fabio Di Giannantonio, who both finished on the podium in the Sprint in Barcelona, benefited from this to close the gap in the overall standings, but they are still more than thirty points behind the two leading Aprilias.

Today's winner, Álex Márquez, overtook his brother Marc, who withdrew from the race, and moved into seventh place in the world championship, 62 points behind the leader. The two Aprilia Trackhouse bikes are one and two points ahead of him, respectively, and should therefore be a target for Sunday's Grand Prix.
