Marco Bezzecchi leads, Jorge Martín still behind, but closer. After the Sprint at Le Mans, Aprilia has further solidified its hold on the top two spots in the world championship. The gap between the two teammates is six points, and the gap with their two closest rivals is widening. Pedro Acosta is now third, 36 points back, and Fabio Di Giannantonio is fourth, 37 points behind. The Spaniard has regained the advantage over the VR46 rider by one point, but neither rider has the firepower to challenge the Noale duo in the short term.

Despite a heavy highside crash on the penultimate lap of the Sprint race, Marc Márquez, struggling further, managed to hold onto fifth place. However, he will lose even more points to the championship leader by missing the French Grand Prix and the Catalan Grand Prix next week. Álex Márquez, winner at Jerez, is sixth with 55 points, 53 points behind the leader and just two behind his brother. The feature race at Le Mans this Sunday will be the next opportunity to reshuffle the standings.
