Marco Bezzecchi has finally achieved it. The Italian, who dreamed of securing a well-deserved victory at the end of the season, has finally done it. Since Marc Márquez's injury, the Italian had been the favorite in every Grand Prix, without quite managing to pull off the win on Sunday. At the Portuguese Grand Prix, the number 72 left his rivals no chance. Starting from pole position, he steadily increased his lead over Alex Márquez throughout the race, crossing the finish line with a comfortable 2,5-second advantage.

Behind him, Alex Márquez (Gresini Ducati) quickly overtook Pedro Acosta, unlike the effort he had to expend during the Sprint race to shake him off. He thus secured second place in the event, ahead of his compatriot's KTM. Three manufacturers therefore made it onto the podium.

Starting from the front line, fabio quartararo He didn't suffer too much from tire degradation and managed his race perfectly to finish 6th, overtaken by Fermín Aldeguer's Ducati and Brad Binder's KTM, which were much faster at Portimão. The other Frenchman on the grid, Johann Zarco, had a magnificent race right up until the final laps. Struggling in Fabio Quartararo's slipstream, he couldn't make a move on the Frenchman. Worse still, he was caught out by Ai Ogura and Fabio Di Giannantonio at the end of the race and finished 9th.

Despite a strong start, Pecco Bagnaia, running in 4th position, crashed mid-race. Another disappointment added to his disastrous season. While Marco Bezzecchi moved into 3rd place overall, Pedro Acosta was rapidly closing in on Bagnaia in 4th. The Italian will have to salvage some pride at all costs in Valencia. Meanwhile, on the other side of the Ducati garage, Nicolo Bulega scored a victory in his debut. MotoGPThe Italian thus takes the point for 15th place.
