While Marco Bezzecchi is trying to have the perfect weekend, Marc Marquez is having to recover after a crash in the Sprint that ended his run of 8 wins. Under the Misano sun, and on a track approaching 30°C, the riders of MotoGP set off for 27 laps of racing.

In terms of tires, everyone opted for mediums at the front and rear, with the exception of Ai Ogura and Somkiat Chantra who went with the soft rear.

When the lights went out, the Aprilia rider retained the lead of the race, but quickly found himself threatened by Marc Marquez. Like the day before, the Iberian got rid of fabio quartararo and Alex Marquez during the first braking, and then puts pressure on the Italian.

Despite everything, this duel for victory dragged on. For 12 laps, Marc Marquez remained in his rival's wake, unable to overtake him. The solution came from a slight error by Marco Bezzecchi. The championship leader took the lead, determined to make amends for his mistake the day before, but he didn't get rid of the #72 driver.

It wasn't until the 22nd of the 27 laps on the program that Marc Marquez gained some breathing room. The #93 driver set the lap record, 6 tenths of a second behind his rival. At the end of the race, the pace was intense at the front. The two men set fastest lap after fastest lap.

They finally reached the finish line in the same order. Marc Marquez thus secured his 11th victory of the year, Marco Bezzecchi his third second place. Alex Marquez, seven seconds behind, completed the podium, ahead of the VR3s.

Johann Zarco falls and climbs back to the points gate

Johann Zarco's race took a turn on the first lap of the San Marino Grand Prix, following a collision with Joan Mir. The Frenchman was able to restart, however. Pedro Acosta retired a few laps later after breaking his chain, and there were numerous crashes – including that of Pecco Bagnaia – which benefited the Frenchman. The Cannes rider climbed back up as his rivals suffered setbacks. At the halfway point of the race, he was in 16th place. He would finish the race in the same place, having gained around twenty seconds on his teammate, Somkiat Chantra, who took the point for 15th place.

Starting second, Fabio Quartararo lacked the pace to fight at the front with his Yamaha. The Frenchman struggled throughout the 2 laps of this main race, gradually losing positions. At the checkered flag, he placed his M27 in eighth position.
