Following a successful first edition in Bangkok in 2025, the MotoGP will once again organize a joint presentation for all teams to launch its season. This time, the discipline leaves the Thai capital behind to head to the streets of Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

The event will take place on February 7, 2026, two days after the pre-season tests held at the Sepang circuit. This choice greatly simplifies logistics for the teams, who will be based in Southeast Asia from the end of January for the Shakedown.

As with last year, the aim will be to transform the city streets into a festival dedicated to celebrating the launch of the MotoGP season. The program includes an exhibition of motorcycles from each manufacturer on the grid and meet-and-greets with the riders, before the final show, scheduled for the evening under the famous Petronas Twin Towers.

“Kuala Lumpur is a city that embodies dynamism and enthusiasm,” confides Carmelo Ezpeleta, CEO of MotoGP. This is the perfect setting for the launch of the MotoGP season. We are delighted to host this unique celebration in Malaysia and share the MotoGP spirit with fans in Southeast Asia.

MotoGP will soon announce the musical artists and local celebrities who will participate in the event, which is an addition to the team presentation calendar. Pramac Racing will kick things off this Tuesday, January 13th, in Siena, Italy, with its launch event, which will mark Toprak Razgatlıoğlu's first official appearance as a MotoGP rider.
