Raúl Fernández, the rider of the other of the two Aprilias entered in Indonesia – given the injuries of Jorge Martín and Ai Ogura – made a strong impression at Mandalika. While pole position was awarded to Noale thanks to the exploits of Marco Bezzecchi, the Spaniard managed to secure a front row, setting the third fastest time in Q2. This put a smile on his face, even though he is aware that the main event is yet to come.

Raúl Fernández (Trackhouse Aprilia), 3rd in Qualifying for the Indonesian Grand Prix MotoGP, in the Parc Ferme: “It's true that in the end we managed to put everything together. I think today the maximum was to try to think about second place. Marco, I think, is taking a step ahead of all of us. But in any case, the pace is positive. The important thing today was to try to put the bike on the front row because that changes the race a lot. So I'm happy for the team. I'm very happy for them, that they're in the parc fermé. I hope that after and tomorrow we can fight to be here again. And yes, of course, thanks to the team. Thanks to my family. But also thanks to Davide [Brivio]. He always gives me something that, day after day, makes me feel like a better rider. So thanks to him, thanks to the whole team. Happy, but this is not the end. This is just the beginning.”

He will attempt to defend this ranking for the first time in the Sprint, this Saturday at 09:00 a.m., then in the main race, which is also scheduled to start at 09:00 a.m. this Sunday.
