After years in Formula 1, where the pilots are already far from risk-averse, Günther Steiner has made a turn towards the MotoGPNow CEO and co-owner of the team Red Bull KTM Tech3, the Italian is making its mark in the premier category of two wheels since the start of the 2026 season.

« MotoGP is new to me. I find it to be one of the most exciting sports, perhaps even the most exciting. assures the former employee Haas in a maintenance with the official MotoGP channelIt's very surprising to see how competitive this sport is and how much the rider can influence their machine. It's truly incredible. So much depends on the rider."

Launched at 360 km/h, leaning at angles approaching 66°, the drivers in the premier category defy the laws of physics, their shoulders regularly skimming the asphalt. This constant risk-taking results in frequent and dangerous crashes.

« They must be really different, because you really have to be wired differently to do what they do. It's incredible what those guys do on motorcycles., admires Günther Steiner. We all think we know how to ride a motorcycle, but when you watch what they do, it's not just about riding a motorcycle. They're on another level. You can see it on television; I can't imagine being in their shoes, it's impossible. They take enormous risks, they fall and get right back on the bike. You really have to be made of something else to do that. »

With three crashes already for Enea Bastianini and one for Maverick Viñales since the start of the 2026 MotoGP season, the Tech3 riders are illustrating by example this risk-taking which fascinates as much as it worries Günther Steiner in his position as the new manager.
