What if he were the seventh different winner in seven races? Still searching for his first victory in MotoGPPedro Acosta put his KTM at the top of the timesheets during the Valencia Grand Prix practice session, ahead of Marco Bezzecchi's Aprilia, who was also very impressive. However, the Italian crashed in the first fifteen minutes of the session, while following the #37 KTM on track and having just set the fastest time.

Returning to the track a few moments later, Bezzecchi continued his duel with Acosta and finished just 53 thousandths of a second behind his rival. Despite improving on his final lap, Bezzecchi experienced a slight rear-end slide in the penultimate corner, forcing him to settle for second place.
Fourth, behind Franco Morbidelli, Álex Márquez secured a distinction by qualifying for Q2 on Friday. The Spaniard is the only rider to have consistently earned a direct ticket to the second phase of qualifying. As a reminder, in MotoGP, the top ten riders from Friday's practice sessions advance to Q2, along with the two fastest times from Q1.
A Q1 to which fabio quartararo He narrowly missed out. The French rider edged out Brad Binder by five hundredths of a second to secure the final direct qualifying spot, on a circuit where another Yamaha M1, Jack Miller's, was also performing well. The Australian, who set the fastest time in FP1 this morning, finished sixth. For Quartararo, the session was anything but smooth sailing. A fluid leak (an investigation was underway to determine whether it was water or fuel) forced him to retire from the race at the first corner midway through the session.
