Francesco Bagnaia penalized three places on the grid at Mugello

Bagnaia, who set the best time in the Friday afternoon practice session, will therefore lose three places on the starting grid. This penalty only applies to Sunday's Italian Grand Prix. Despite this embarrassment, the youngest of the Márquez brothers managed to qualify for Q2. Eighth in the practice session, number 73 will therefore not have to go through Q1 to be in the first 12 on the starting grids.

For his part, Bagnaia will continue to chase a pole position at home, with a new helmet for the occasion. The reigning double world champion pays homage to the rock group Kiss with a white and black livery.
