Ducati continues its historic streak. The 2025 season of MotoGP is taking place under the sign of continuity, and the manufacturer continues to collect successes with great regularity. Even when victory is not there, as was the case twice this year, in France, then in Great Britain, the drivers of the Italian brand are never far away.

At the Indonesian Grand Prix, Borgo Panigale extended his tally of consecutive podium finishes to 84. An absolute record in the MotoGP era... and now in Grand Prix history. In the world championship, Ducati now leads Honda.

The Japanese brand itself had set the precedent, with a run of 83 consecutive podiums between the 1993 FIM GP and Imola in 1999. For almost five years, Ducati has not missed a single podium, to the point where it could consider equaling Honda in the best place.

Ducati now aims to reach further milestones. By continuing this momentum, it would reach 100 consecutive podium finishes next season at the German Grand Prix in July.

Ducati's dominance is not without flaws, however. In Great Britain this year, this run of podium finishes came close to breaking. Marco Bezzecchi inherited the victory, ahead of Johann Zarco and Marc Márquez. But without the retirement of fabio quartararo, who was leading for ten laps, the Spaniard probably would not have been able to save the rest of the Italian series.

A milestone that will soon be reached in another of Ducati's crazy streaks: the series of front-row starts. It now stands at 98 consecutive Grands Prix. An impressive streak that began in Valencia in 2020. The historic milestone of 100 consecutive front-row starts could therefore be reached at the next Malaysian Grand Prix at the end of October.

The last race without a Ducati podium?

We actually have to go back to the end of the 2021 season, and the British Grand Prix to see no Ducati rider on the podium.

At the time, the Frenchman, Fabio Quartararo, won – with the fastest lap – on his Yamaha, ahead of the Suzuki of Álex Rins, and the Aprilia of Aleix Espargaró. The first machine from the trans firmalpine had not, however, crossed the finish line very far, since Jack Miller had finished just 149 thousandths behind Espargaró, in fourth position.

Since the meeting held on August 29, 2021, Francesco Bagnaia, Jack Miller, Enea Bastianini, Johann Zarco, Jorge Martin, Marco Bezzecchi, Luca Marini, Fabio Di Giannantonio, Franco Morbidelli, Fermin Aldeguer and the Marquez brothers, Marc and Álex, have each contributed to perpetuating this domination.
