MotoGP Hungarian GP: Marc Márquez crushes his rivals in the Sprint

Marc Márquez left no chance for the competition during the Sprint of the Hungarian GP which he won far ahead of Pedro Acosta.

The fate of the Hungarian Grand Prix Sprint MotoGP The race was sealed from the very first meters. With an excellent start, Marc Márquez entered the first braking zone well ahead of Pedro Acosta, and needed only a few corners to extend his lead. After three laps, his advantage was close to two seconds; all he had to do was manage it carefully to secure his victory, his third in this format this season. Winner of the Sprint, the number 93 equaled Jorge Martín's record of 18 Saturday victories, but more importantly, proved that he is no longer physically limited by the shoulder pain that hampered him at the start of the season.

Behind him, Pedro Acosta quickly realized he wasn't going to win. This didn't stop him from setting a pace far superior to that of Marco Bezzecchi, who had moved from 6th to 3rd at the start. A promising sign, although his KTM's tire degradation issues are likely to put him at a disadvantage compared to Aprilia this Sunday over twice the distance.

Once again impressive in the Sprint class aboard his modest Honda, Diogo Moreira recorded his best result on Saturday with a 7th place finish, battling for most of the race with Jorge Martín (6th). Pecco Bagnaia finished 9th in Hungary, scoring points in the Sprint class for the 7th time in as many races this season – a feat he alone can boast.

Still struggling on a Yamaha that performs poorly regardless of the MotoGP track. fabio quartararo finished in an anonymous 17th position.
