In 2025, Ducati continues to crush the competition in MotoGPThe Italian manufacturer took two wins in two rounds, each time securing every available podium spot. The Marquez brothers, Marc and Alex, made a significant contribution to this, finishing in the top two positions in both Thailand and Argentina.
In just under two weeks, MotoGP will head to the United States. Last year, COTA was the only track where Borgo Panigale was beaten, by Aprilia. The Bologna factory has since racked up nineteen consecutive victories. This is the longest run achieved by a manufacturer in MotoGP. In the history of the sport, the last manufacturer to have done better was Honda.
Between the 1997 Malaysian Grand Prix and the following season's Assen Grand Prix in 1998, Honda notched up no fewer than twenty-two consecutive victories. A dizzying tally, largely fuelled by the exploits of Mick Doohan.
Fifteen victories in this series have been signed by the Australian, while Alex Crivillé (4), Tadayuki Okada (1), Max Biaggi (1) and Carlos Checa (1) have also contributed to making it last.
Ducati to set a new record in France?
New Zealander Simon Crafar, known for his commentary on the MotoGP channel, and president of the FIM, had come to put an end to the latter. He then found victory on a Yamaha at Donington Park, during the British Grand Prix.
In 2025, Ducati is attempting to catch up with the Japanese brand. To do so, it must win the first five races of the season. This way, if Borgo Panigale remains undefeated until the end of the Spanish Grand Prix, the Italian factory will be able to set a new mark in the record books. This opportunity would come at the 2025 French Grand Prix (May 9-11).
For that, Ducati will have to take revenge on Aprilia at the Grand Prix of the Americas. A race that the manufacturer has not won since 2022, with Enea Bastianini. This victory is also Ducati's only one at the COTA. Marc Marquez could however be a major asset for the brand. The Spaniard having won the event seven times during his career.

"also contributed to its continuation": but what does this "the" have to do with it??? "The New Zealander, Simon Crafar, known for his commentary on the MotoGP channel, and president of the FIM": Simon Crafar replaced the controversial Freddie Spencer as president of the panel of stewards and therefore no longer comments on MotoGP, nor is he president of the FIM! Did you say STUPID and ill-informed?
