  • Luca Marini posted a 1:51.762 lap in Qatar to take pole position on the starting grid for the weekend's events. Fabio di Giannantonio (+0.067) and Alex Marquez (+0.136) also block the first row for Gresini who can be satisfied with a successful qualifying session.
  • The two title contenders, Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martín, took 4th and 5th times, and will start the Sprint as well as the main race side by side.
  • Johann Zarco's excellent session (+0.339) allows him to claim sixth place on the starting grid. The Pramac rider will therefore be able to help his teammate in his fight for the championship while the other Ducati factory rider, Enea Bastianini, only ranks 14th.
  • Marc Marquez continues to gain momentum at Losail and takes the 7th time.
  • Three Aprilias complete the top 10 with the machines of Maverick Vinales (8th), Raul Fernandez (9th) and Aleix Espargaro. However, No. 41 was under threat of a penalty for the slap he sent to Franco Morbidelli, 18th in these Qualifications. He will finally start in 16th position after the sanction received, thus offering a place in the top 10 to Brad Binder.
  • fabio quartararo, dominant during FP2, still suffered with his Yamaha on soft tires, and did not manage to finish better than 13th on the starting grid, just behind the poleman's teammate, Marco Bezzecchi.
  • Meet at 18:00 p.m. to follow the 11 loops of the Qatar Grand Prix Sprint.
