After the San Marino Grand Prix of MotoGP, the traditional Misano Official Test was held. A day marked by new developments for the teams, all of whom are already starting to prepare for their 2025 season.

The two driving sessions scheduled for this Monday represent the last possibilities for official testing, before the post-season tests, which will be held the day after the Valencia Grand Prix.

The day, divided into several stages, took place as follows:

  • 09:00 – 12:45: First test session

While no one rode during this first hour of testing, the sun allowed the track to dry, after a rainy evening at Misano. All the KTM riders then left their respective garages around 10:30, before riding almost alone on the track. Note that Jack Miller and Augusto Fernandez, who will no longer ride with the Austrian team next year, were excluded from development this Monday.

While fabio quartararo took the best time for a while, it was Jorge Martin who finished the session in the lead, with a time of 1:31.124. The Spaniard completed around thirty laps at Misano before achieving this, trying out various aerodynamic appendages brought by Borgo Panigale in Italy.

  • 14:00 p.m. – 14:30 p.m.: Michelin tire tests

During this driving session, the official drivers had the opportunity to ride with a new type of Michelin tire, which is lighter and offers a wider contact surface with the track.

While the compound is not expected to be introduced in MotoGP until the start of the 2026 season, it was Jorge Martin who ended the session in the lead, ahead of Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez.

  • 14:35 p.m. – 18:00 p.m.: Second practice session

Lasting over three hours, the afternoon session was the last opportunity for the drivers and teams to test at Misano on Monday.

After an hour of riding, the Ducatis occupy the top five. Bagnaia is ahead of Bastianini and the Pramac riders by just three tenths, and Marc Marquez, five tenths behind the reigning world champion.

The top of the standings will change very little, but behind them, the Aprilias are running at full speed, like Aleix Espargaro who has completed more than 30 laps in the space of two hours. More than any of his rivals.

Before the checkered flag, Bagnaia maintains his advantage. Franco Morbidelli is second, with the merit of being the Ducati rider to have spun the most.

The Aprilias continue their momentum, but Aleix Espargaro hands over to his teammates. Maverick Viñales completes this second MotoGP session with a total of 53 laps completed.
