Marc Marquez "achieved his goal" before the start of the Ducati adventure

Marc Marquez will not regret leaving MotoGP without a ninth title - Michelin

The 2025 season will be a big step for Marc Marquez. After a difficult few years, the Spaniard will be in possession of the best bike on the grid, and should therefore be able to fight for the world title, something he has not done for a long time. Marc Marquez's last world crown dates back to the 2019 season of MotoGP. He has not been a serious contender for any title in the class since.

Promoted to the official Ducati team for 2025 at the beginning of last summer, Marc Marquez is now aiming for a seventh world championship title in the premier class. If he does not achieve it, the number 93 will not have the slightest regret.

“With Honda we have achieved a lot and I feel part of the Honda family, Marc Marquez confides in MotoGP.com. Yet, at the moment I ride a Ducati. Of course, I will try to defend the Ducati colours. But Honda has been and will always be a very important part of my career. Maybe the most important part."

"Of course, when you make this kind of transfer, you put a lot of pressure on yourself and there can be a lot of negative comments if you don't get what you want, He added. Now I know that in the future, when I retire, I will be at peace with myself because I have tried everything."

Objective achieved for Marquez

Last year, the Iberian proved that he still had the resources to be able to fight with the best riders on the grid, battling against Jorge Martín and Pecco Bagnaia with a less powerful bike.

He should therefore be able to put Pecco Bagnaia to the test to try to get his hands on this ninth career crown, and thus equal Valentino Rossi. He insists, however, that he will not blame himself if he fails.

"I have already achieved what I wanted. The goal was to try to extend my career and try to be competitive again. Then, if I win another title, it will be something extra in the pocket. But my main goal is already achieved." concludes Marc Marquez.
