MotoGP 2026 – Championship standings after the Hungarian Grand Prix

Despite the double crash of the Aprilias in Hungary, Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martín continue to lead the 2026 MotoGP world championship, even if Marc Márquez has not said his last word.

Marco Bezzecchi, despite his retirement in Hungary, retains the championship lead with 180 points. His teammate Jorge Martín, who caused the first-corner collision, is now 20 points behind after this disastrous day. Fabio Di Giannantonio, who was able to restart and finish twelfth, is 42 points adrift and remains third in the overall standings.

Pedro Acosta, fourth in the championship with 132 points, long believed he had victory in Hungary before Marc Márquez overtook him in one of the chicanes after a heated exchange—the two riders making contact several times. The reigning world champion is currently sixth in the championship with 108 points.

Behind him in the general classification, Ai Ogura confirms his progress with 105 points and a seventh place, while Francesco Bagnaia — third this Sunday after taking advantage of the chaos — climbs back up to 99 points. fabio quartararo, who retired four minutes from the end of the Grand Prix, scored no points but retains his fifteenth place in the overall standings, with 37 points. Johann Zarco (34 points), still absent, was overtaken by his teammate, Diogo Moreira (36 points).
