Starting third, Raul Fernandez maintained his ranking and completed the podium.
Reflecting his weekend, Marc Marquez had a disappointing Sprint. After sending Alex Rins wide in the opening laps of the race, he was given a Long Lap penalty. He still managed to climb back to 7th position to pick up 3 points. This was his worst Saturday finish this season.
As he had imagined, fabio quartararo had a difficult race to manage. Starting from 8th position on the grid, he was involved in various incidents and did not reach the finish of the Sprint. For Johann Zarco, the positives are also difficult to draw from this sprint. Starting 18th, the Frenchman was unable to do anything to get back to the front. He ended his race with a crash on the 10th lap. He must now concentrate on his Sunday to try to take points from this weekend. After his Sprint victory in Japan, Pecco Bagnaia ruined his chances this morning by finishing 16th in Qualifying. He nevertheless finished 14th, the last of the Sprint drivers.
