While Marc Marquez had his first opportunity to defend his pole position this Saturday, the Spaniard completely missed his start, distracted when the lights went out. However, he quickly climbed back up the order. Thanks to a well-negotiated first corner, he moved up to fourth position. He then wasted no time in getting away from fabio quartararo.

The first lap concluded with Pecco Bagnaia in the lead, ahead of Alex Marquez and his older brother. However, these three men would engage in a heated duel during the second lap, and the leader changed his name to Alex Marquez.

Although the Italian quickly pulled away, the Marque brothers were not done fighting at the front of the race. At the start of the fourth lap, the No. 63 was more than 8 tenths behind, while at the same time, his teammate took the lead thanks to a hard braking on the inside of his younger brother at Turn 1.

The first loop of the race was also marked by the unfortunate collision between Brad Binder and Johann Zarco, both of whom were forced to retire at the first corner. Pedro Acosta also retired following a personal error.

The Marquez brothers in continuity

The second half of the race was much calmer. We witnessed Fabio Quartararo's fall in the rankings, struggling with his Yamaha, and Marco Bezzecchi's strong comeback on home soil.

At the front, Marc Marquez held his advantage and easily won ahead of his brother. The Marquez brothers thus secured their tenth consecutive sprint double this season. Pecco Bagnaia completed the podium, fending off the onslaught of Maverick Vinales.

Le MotoGP will return to the track tomorrow at around 14:00 p.m. to start the Main Race of the Italian Grand Prix.
