Le MotoGP now heads to the Sepang International Circuit, to contest the nineteenth and penultimate round of its season in Malaysia. This weekend's event will be the last to be contested at early hours for MotoGP. After this stage, the discipline will return to Valencia, for the finale of this 2024 championship.

The stakes of the Malaysian GP are enormous, since Jorge Martin will have his first opportunity to wrap up the title race. While he left Thailand with a thirteen-point lead over his only rival, Pecco Bagnaia, the world crown could go to him with a slight advantage. To do so, he will have to finish the next meeting with 38 points more than his opponent, which will be no easy feat.

This weekend's Grand Prix should indeed bring more serious rivals to Ducati, since the teams that have had some difficulty finding their marks on some Asian circuits, will have in their possession all the data collected during the Shakedown, as well as the first winter tests, held in Sepang last February.
