In 2025, Marc Marquez continues to write his story by MotoGPIn Argentina, the Spaniard reached a new milestone by winning his 90th career Grand Prix after taking pole position and winning the Sprint. This success allows him to equal Angel Nieto's record, and brings him closer to the legendary records of Valentino Rossi (115 victories) and Giacomo Agostini (122). Which did not leave the other two monuments of sport indifferent.

Agostini himself recognizes Marquez's potential to surpass these historic figures, but hopes to hold the record for some time to come. "I see him surpassing Valentino's records, and I hope he doesn't reach mine.", he said in an interview with the Italian media, La Repubblica. If he succeeds, however, I will be the first to congratulate him on this achievement, because records are made to be broken. »

With two wins in two rounds this season, Marquez appears to be in top form. With 20 rounds remaining on the calendar, however, he won't be able to catch Valentino Rossi anytime soon, as the nine-time Italian world champion still has a 25-point lead.

"A new Marc Marquez"

Despite everything, Agostini still sees good years ahead of what he describes as 'a new Marquez'. "He seems to me even more determined, stronger and more incisive, given everything he has suffered and overcome in the last four years »

The Italian champion goes so far as to predict total domination by Marquez this season. "I think he wants to win every Grand Prix this season. He decided to test himself. He underwent four operations, recovered, and left the world's most powerful team, Honda. Then he moved to a satellite team and won three Grands Prix.. I insist, he was a wounded animal who wanted to test himself and see if he was still capable of competing with the best."

Marc Marquez has now proven he is still capable of competing at the highest level, establishing himself from the outset as the overwhelming favorite for the 2025 MotoGP world championship title..
