Francesco Bagnaia takes championship lead in Germany - Red Bull Content Pool

The Drivers' championship leader changed during the German Grand Prix in MotoGP. While Jorge Martin had all the cards in hand to increase his advantage, he fell in the main race. Second at the time of the incident, Francesco Bagnaia only had to control his lead over the Marquez brothers during the two remaining laps to win.

An excellent operation in the championship for the Italian who takes the lead. Before starting the second part of the season, Martin is 10 points behind his rival.

Alex Marquez's podium allows him to catch up with Aleix Espargaro in the championship, the Aprilia rider having withdrawn after FP1.

fabio quartararo suffered the excellent weekend of Franco Morbidelli and Miguel Oliveira in Germany, and fell to fifteenth place in the table. With Remy Gardner replacing Alex Rins on the Saschsenring, the number of drivers entered in this ranking is 27.

Johann Zarco, Stefan Bradl and Augusto Fernandez were penalized after the race for failing to meet minimum tire pressures. Not having scored a point, that doesn't change anything for the first two raincoats. Luca Marini, however, took advantage of the penalty from the last city to score his first point of the season, after nine rounds played.
