The pre-season for the 2025 season of MotoGP is now over. This second day of action in Buriram (Thailand) was for the teams and the drivers, the last official day of driving before the first round of the season, which will take place on the same circuit.

Track conditions were similar to those on the first day, and Marco Bezzecchi set a first benchmark of 1:29.244. Alex Marquez and his elder, Marc, then engaged in a duel on the scoreboard, going well below the times set the day before. The Ducati rider emerged victorious from this duel with a lap of 1:28.855, set just before the lunch break. This time was enough to end the day ahead of the others.

During the second half of the day, the drivers focused mostly on sprint and race simulations. In this game, the multiple Spanish world champion still impresses. Marc Marquez completed this exercise with a rather promising average of 1:30.361 over 23 laps. He concluded this simulation shortly before the start of the last hour of action on the track.

Aprilia and KTM on the pace

On this second day, Aprilia and KTM proved that they were capable of keeping up with the Ducati in terms of time. Pedro Acosta (KTM) and Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) took third and fourth positions, both a tenth behind Marc Marquez's reference.

In the Sprint simulation, the 'Shark of Mazarron' also impressed. The Spaniard was able to complete 10 laps with an average of 1:30.335 per lap.

Yamaha is getting closer

After a disappointing first day in Thailand, Yamaha is getting closer to the competition. First representative of the Iwata factory, fabio quartararo sets his best lap in 1:29.586. Behind, Jack Miller again impresses with his ability to adapt to the M1. He once again finishes in the top 10, with a time of 1:29.617.

However, it is less good than Honda. The other Japanese factory on the MotoGP grid was able to count on Joan Mir's productive afternoon to finish the tests in the top-6. The 2020 world champion thus placed his RC213V just a few thousandths of a second behind Pecco Bagnaia. For his part, Johann Zarco finished sixteenth. One second behind Marquez.
