Marc Marquez approaches the 2025 season with renewed motivation and ambition, ready to fight for the world title after several difficult years. The six-time world champion MotoGP, now an official Ducati rider, feels reinvigorated and is preparing to take on the challenge of beating Pecco Bagnaia to claim a seventh premier class crown.

“The first race is always special, you have butterflies of a different kind in your stomach, Marquez said confidently at a press conference, before the Thailand Grand Prix. But it's good because in the last few years I didn't feel that fire in me. This year I know I'm in the right place, in any case I think I'm in the right team with the right bike if I want to fight for the championship again, and I'm going to try."

Marquez nevertheless acknowledges that he will have to adapt to a new role within the Ducati team, where his teammate Pecco Bagnaia is firmly established. One of my rivals, one of the riders to beat, right from the start will be my teammate, Pecco, because in recent years his career has been very good: second, first, first, second. It's impressive.", he admits.

Before continuing. "At the same time I'm living a new experience, I have a new role in the garage because at Repsol Honda I was always the one with the most experience, the biggest status in the garage, and I always tried to defend that position. Now it's different. Pecco has a lot of experience so I have to learn from him."

Marc Marquez all in red

Despite the competition within Ducati itself, Marc Marquez highlights the good atmosphere that currently reigns in the official box of the brand. An atmosphere that could evolve over the course of the battles that the two riders engage in on the track.

"I hope to share a lot of podiums with Pecco because the championship has to be tinged with red at the end of the season. I want a red 93, he wants a red 63, but otherwise, we are in MotoGP. Everyone is super fast and if we expect a double every weekend, it's because we don't know MotoGP."

"All Ducati riders can fight for victory because we start from a similar base, adds Marc Marquez. Obviously, in the factory team we will work a lot on small details, the engineers are already working on solutions that I think will be better. We must not forget Acosta.

The Spaniard concludes by emphasizing the importance of each race in a championship lasting twenty-two rounds: "I think there will be a lot of battles between different riders, in different conditions, rain, humidity. The championship is very long but every race counts."
