The end of the 2024 season of MotoGP is fast approaching. Only three more events will animate the discipline's tour. For now, the eleven teams on the grid are heading to Thailand to continue the triple-header that began in Australia.
Designed by renowned German architect Hermann Tilke, the Buriram International Circuit opened in 2014, before making its debut on the MotoGP calendar in 2018. The track features seven right-hand turns and five left-handers, the exact opposite of the Phillip Island circuit, which hosted the Australian Grand Prix last week.
The stakes for this Grand Prix for the championship leaders are just as high as they were recently, as Jorge Martin and Pecco Bagnaia continue to fight for the world title. In Australia Jorge Martin showed that he has gained maturity. The Pramac rider let Marc Marquez escape to victory when he could no longer follow him, to avoid committing the irreparable.
The No. 89 nevertheless collected 32 points over the weekend. Which allowed him to double his lead over Pecco Bagnaia in the championship. The Spaniard will approach the Thailand Grand Prix with twenty more points than his opponent. A negligible advantage when we know that there will be three times 37 points left to distribute this season.
Once again, pay attention to the MotoGP timetables for the weekend, you will have to get up early!
