While most major motorsport disciplines are on pause due to the postponement of some events in the Middle East, the FIM EWC Endurance World Championship opens its season on the Bugatti circuit this weekend with the 24 Hours of Le Mans motorcycle race.
The 49th edition of the event promises to be an interesting opening race for several reasons. Last year, the race was held in treacherous conditions, keeping many favorites out of contention for the win. While the YART Yamaha #1 ultimately prevailed, albeit with some difficulty during the 24-hour race, its rivals are eager for revenge.
In total, five manufacturers, including Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki, BMW, and Yamaha, are fielding official teams that can realistically aim for victory. However, they will face stiff competition, as for the first time since 2019, the 24 Hours of Le Mans motorcycle race is at full strength with 60 machines entered. Follow the event on AUTOhebdo's various platforms, as they are present at Le Mans to bring you behind-the-scenes action.
