Heading to Hungary for the plateau of the MotoGPThe final race weekend at Mugello (Italy) was a true demonstration of Aprilia's strength against Ducati, with a Bezzecchi-Martín one-two finish, more than five seconds ahead of the first Ducati. Marco Bezzecchi secured his tenth MotoGP victory and, more importantly, his first on home soil, allowing him to join the very exclusive club of Italian riders to have won at Mugello and consolidating his championship lead over Jorge Martín.
Marc Márquez made his return to the track aboard his Ducati, just three weeks after his violent crash at Le Mans. The Spaniard had missed the Catalan Grand Prix while he recovered. Far from seeming hampered by his injuries, he delivered a solid performance to secure a strong seventh place at the finish.
For the French and Yamaha teams, the weekend turned into an ordeal for fabio quartararowho finished in an anonymous 18th position. The rider had declared he "had lost his motivation" at the end of the race. After this demonstration weekend for the Aprilia team, the Noale-based manufacturer will want to confirm its good form at the next round in Hungary and will once again have to contend with the Ducati pack.
Dominated last year by a Marc Márquez who was clearly very comfortable on tracks that often bank left, the Hungarian Grand Prix promises to be much more open given the context of the Spaniard's return. Although the race itself might not be the deciding factor, qualifying will be one to watch very, very closely.
