The 2025 season of MotoGP The season is drawing to a close, and the title has already been awarded to Marc Márquez, but the Portuguese Grand Prix is far from without its stakes. First and foremost, Nicolo Bulega's performance will be one to watch. A Ducati test rider since June, the Italian will replace Marc Márquez – sidelined with a broken collarbone – for the remainder of the year on Ducati's Desmosedici GP25. While this will be the Superbike runner-up's first MotoGP race, it will also mark his 100th in the world championship.

Among the favorites for victory are the Gresini riders, Alex Marquez and Fermín Aldeguer, winners of the Malaysian and Indonesian Grands Prix, but also Marco Bezzecchi, who has yet to take advantage of Marc Márquez's absence to come out on top on Sunday.

After securing a superb 5th place in Malaysia, fabio quartararo hopes to benefit from a slightly cleaner track on Sunday – Moto3 takes place after MotoGP – to gain a grip advantage at the start of the raceand repeat the Sepang performance. Another Yamaha rider, Miguel Oliveira, will contest his last home Grand Prix as a MotoGP rider at Portimao, before moving to Superbike next year.
