The starting grid for the 2026 French MotoGP Grand Prix

For the first time this season, Francesco Bagnaia secured pole position in MotoGPThe Italian rider initially started ahead of his teammate Marc Márquez and the world championship leader, Marco Bezzecchi, on the front row. The Spaniard's injury, sustained during Saturday's Sprint, means everyone moves up one position. Fabio di Giannantonio, who qualified fourth, will share the second row with Pedro Acosta and a surprising [name missing]. fabio quartararoThe rider from Nice, who struggled on Friday, managed to find his rhythm in qualifying and secure the best Yamaha rider position on the grid.

Joan Mir will start seventh ahead of Jorge Martín and Ai Ogura, while Álex Márquez (who crashed in Q2), Johann Zarco, and Álex Rins complete the fourth row of the grid and the list of riders competing in the second phase of qualifying. Raúl Fernández will start from 13th position ahead of Enea Bastianini and Luca Marini, while Franco Morbidelli, Toprak Razgatlıoğlu, and Diogo Moreira will make up the sixth row. Jack Miller, Fermín Aldeguer, and Brad Binder will be on the seventh row ahead of Jonas Folger, who is replacing the injured Maverick Viñales this weekend and is returning to the MotoGP field after a three-year absence.

The Sprint race starts this Saturday at 15pm, before the French MotoGP Grand Prix on Sunday at 14pm.
