For the hundredth time in his career in all three world championship categories, Marc Márquez took pole position. The Spanish rider set the track record, just a few thousandths of a second ahead of his Ducati teammate Francesco Bagnaia and his brother Alex, who was third on the grid.
Triple poleman already this season, fabio quartararo must be content with the second row on his Yamaha, ahead of Maverick Viñales and Franco Morbidelli. Fabio Di Giannantonio will start seventh, ahead of Pedro Acosta and Álex Rins, who must be satisfied with returning to the top 10 on the flying lap.
Marco Bezzecchi, Raúl Fernández and Fermín Aldeguer are on the fourth row, ahead of Jack Miller and Johann Zarco, Honda's best rider but relegated to fourteenth position. Brad Binder will start fifteenth ahead of Enea Bastianini, Miguel Oliveira and Joan Mir. Nineteenth-placed Takaaki Nakagami is taking over at Honda following Luca Marini's injury, while Lorenzo Savadori will be in the middle of the seventh row, ahead of Ai Ogura, who is returning from injury. Thailand's Somkiat Chantra completes the starting grid.
